I love having the options but the cost of insurance is probably why they are for sale.
I smile everytime I see the Stagea and the Supra on the way to work though.

The insurance is no different than a north american subaru legacy.
I had a JDM Twin Turbo Soarer and a JDM Twin Turbo Fairlady Z and the insurance was no higher than anything else.

Really, you are in AB right?
It might of been BC that had the difference.

Yeah in Edmonton.

Ya I think BC has some RHD premium due to all the JDM stuff in the Vancouver area.
We need more Alberta Oppo's

It could be I guess. I've never once been asked if it was RHD or not for insurance. The only question was that the serial number was shorter than normal and I told then that the car was imported from japan and they are like "well that explains it then". Like I said no problem here. but mind you this was in 2007 so things might of changed since then.

You're also dealing in private ins in AB, so there are hundreds of different companies and they may all have different policies. BC has one- ICBC, and when they decide that RHD create more claims (they've been running studies for years) rates could very easily go through the roof.

You can keep your JDMs, I'm still waiting on an affordable JDAM.
